The Sunbather

The shot on the left, "The Sunbather", was taken in 1937 by Max Dupain. The one on the right, I took today in Leucadia. This was the assignment given in a class I'm taking...to emulate a professional photographer's photo. As I googled through tons of photos, this one caught my eye. First of all, I love the beach, and of course I love the male physique - especially the shoulders, and as it would turn out, the original shot was taken at Bondi Beach, one of my very favorite places in Australia. Who knew? The model on the right is Phil. Bless his heart for his patience and his remarkable resemblance to this man from long ago...
