Architecture, Angles, and Abstracts

I had another fun assignment in my Photography class; to step away from the beach, and into the City to shoot architecture, angles, and abstracts. I fell in love with the way the light casts shadows on and through structures, and found myself particularly drawn to the arches throughout the buildings and breezeways in Balboa Park. My classmate Jo and I started at the beautiful Botanical Building at Balboa Park, and ended up capturing the City Lights in Downtown San Diego.

I was attracted to the different patterns that the light accentuated and the warm golden hues...

Or was it that this building housed San Diego's Famous Extraordinary Desserts?

At the end of our shoot, we looked for a place to fulfill our "motion" shot. The palm trees against these buildings caught my eye, so we planted ourselves to the side of the train tracks and waited...

After getting completely carried away for hours, we headed home, but spied this Church and had to make one more stop...

I do love the City! Thank you, Jo!

Lovely. I loved photog assignments. They always take you out of your comfort zone and make you see new things, too.

So amazing. I wish I could comment on each one individually. So much to say!
